Platelet Rich Plasma Growth Factor Therapy

A very small amount of blood is drawn from the patient into a sterile tube in the exact same manner as a standard blood sample. The tube containing a patient's blood is placed into a centrifuge and spun to separate the platelets from the other blood components. After a few minutes, the concentrated platelets are removed from the same tube and re-introduced into the patient at the site of the injury such as tendon or ligament injury. Using a sterile needle, your physician will inject the PRP in and around the injury site in the office. This is all accomplished without using any animal products or other foreign material. This procedure is an alternative to corticosteroid injections or surgical repair with minimal side effects and fast recovery.

Advanced Wound Care

Utilizing the latest wound care products such as skin grafts that contain living human skin cells to promote healing of diabetic foot ulcers and using other advanced wound healing products such as silver impregnated dressings (antibacterial properties) to prevent infections.

Hyperbaric Chambers

Our doctors are involved with advanced wound healing centers in the Greater Los Angeles area that utilize hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), which is the medical use of oxygen at a level higher than atmospheric pressure. hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) delivers 100% Oxygen to the tissues in a pressurized environment that is not achievable by normal breathing. By increasing the Oxygen levels in the tissues of patients with chronically non-healing wounds such as diabetic ulcers, it promotes faster wound healing with minimal side effects to the patient.

Topaz Procedure

TOPAZ is a quick, simple and minimally invasive medical technique now available for the treatment of tendons and fascia. The TOPAZ MicroDebrider utilizes patented Coblation® technology, designed to specifically treat tendons and fascia. The TOPAZ technique has been associated with quick return to daily activities allowing for significant improvement in patient outcomes. TOPAZ has offered a minimally invasive alternative for thousands of patients for the treatment of Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendinitis and other fascia and tendon in the Foot and Ankle.

Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy

Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which an examination and sometimes treatment of damage of the interior of a joint is performed using an arthroscope, a type of endoscope that is inserted into the joint through a small incision. Arthroscopic procedures can be performed either to evaluate or to treat many podiatric conditions including torn floating cartilage, torn surface cartilage, ligament reconstruction, and trimming damaged cartilage.

The advantage of arthroscopy over traditional open surgery is that the joint does not have to be opened up fully. Instead, only two small incisions are made - one for the arthroscope and one for the surgical instruments to be used in the joint cavity. This reduces recovery time and may increase the rate of surgical success due to less trauma to the connective tissue.

Ilizarov Fixation

It is used as a surgical procedure to lengthen or reshape limb bones; to treat complex and/or open bone fractures; and in cases of infected non-unions of bones that are not amenable with other techniques. By utilizing this fixation, it allows the patient to weight bear immediately after surgery and minimizes complications compared to traditional surgical techniques.

Cryosurgery is the application of extreme cold to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue. Cryotherapy is used to treat a number of diseases and disorders, such as a Neuroma. The procedure is used often because of its efficacy and low rates of side effects.

Shoes, Orthotics & Braces

Custom Foot Orthotics

Our doctors provide custom made orthotics in the office by taking a cast of the foot in the neutral position. By casting the foot in the neutral position, the foot is captured in its normal position and therefore foot deformities are prevented. Custom Foot Orthotics are made for a variety of Foot and Ankle conditions such as Flat Foot Deformity, Arthritis, and others.

KLM Superstep Over the Counter Orthotics

This trilaminate insole comes in three different shell rigidities to customize and accommodate any patient's biomechanical support requirements. The shell is laminated between a top and bottom cover. Kids Orthotics

Kiddy's provide the benefit of inexpensive biomechanical support for fast growing kids as an alternative to custom orthotics to prevent a wide array of Foot and Ankle problems such as flatfeet.

Ankle-Foot Orthosis (AFO)

An ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) is an orthosis or brace (usually plastic) that surrounds the ankle and at least part of the foot. AFOs are externally applied and intended to control position and motion of the ankle, compensate for weakness, or correct deformities. AFOs are commonly used in the treatment of disorders affecting muscle function such as stroke, spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, polio, multiple sclerosis and peripheral neuropathy.
